This is a picture from the inside of one of the dormers of this house we are building. If you look carefully, you will notice that we don't use any trim boards. All the joints are cut as close as possible. This is a common practice in traditional jointery in Japan, something I respect and do myself. These railway spikes are bent and used for hangers for towels. This is the inside corner of one of the bathrooms in this house.
